Positive, passionate, and curious about everything in life, Beverly sees the beauty in anything and everything.  This devotion has fueled her success in the beauty industry for the past 20 years.  13 years ago she turned her attention to eyebrows and studied the relationship between face shape and brow design.  She has passed this knowledge onto her team of artists at HighBrow.

When asked why she loves working in the beauty industry Beverly proudly espouses her passion for making women feel good about themselves- especially in a culture where they are constantly tending to the needs of others.  Her mission in building HighBrow is to be a place where women can get back to themselves and hit the “refresh” button.  She strongly believes that self-confidence is rooted in self-love, and so she and her HighBrow artists seek to help women honor themselves.  Beverly has found that brows and lashes are a quick and essential way for women to update their look, offering lift, definition, and customization.

Inspired by building meaningful relationships, Beverly has sought to cultivate not only a positive experience for every one of her HighBrow clients, but also an uplifting work environment for her employees.  Forever learning more about their shared craft, the HighBrow artists have been trained to treat every face and every client to a custom experience.  Together they are dedicated to helping people grow and live life in a more beautiful way.

In her spare time, Beverly enjoys playing and creating mischief with her 2 boys, gardening, and thrifting for unique vintage finds

DO

Avoid getting your lashes wet for the first 8-10 hours after application.  Get your shower out of the way before application

Arrive on time and without wearing make-up or contact lenses

Maintain your lashes regularly

Silence your cell phone

Take a little extra care when dealing with your new lashes

Enjoy the attention you’re going to get

DON’T

Rub, pick or pull on your lashes

Use waterproof mascara, or any cosmetics that contain any glycol-based ingredients

Use oily products near lashes

Accept calls or texts during your procedure.

WAXING DO'S & DONT'S

DO

• If you are having a bikini Wax or Brazilian, trim hair to ½ inch to prevent discomfort.
• You may take 2 Advil (NOT Asprin) ½ hour before waxing if you have a high level of pain.
• Clean and exfoliate area to be waxed before treatment.
• Moisturize and exfoliate waxed areas daily to prevent in-grown hair (not until the next day after waxing).

DO NOT
• Come in for waxing if you are using: Retin-A, Accutane, Blood Thinners, Cortisone, Acne Medication or any other Exfoliates or Hydroxy based products on area to be waxed.
• Have a hot bath or hot tub before or after waxing.
• Use sun bed, sunbathe or go swimming, or apply deodorant for up to 24 hours after waxing.
• Do not shave 2 ½ weeks before a waxing as the hair is very course and might not come out with the wax if it is not long enough

We specialize in brow design and eyelash extensions, but also provide services such as body waxing and facials. We are looking for a talented and experienced eyelash extensionist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have the following requirements

qualifications

  •  Graduate of esthetics/beauty school, current esthetics license and certification. Sole responsibility of esthetician to update license.
  • Excellent communication skills; ability to provide legible communication.
  • Minimum of 3 years practical experience in San Diego.
  • High School Graduate.
  • Impeccably groomed, warm and friendly.

Requirements

  • You MUST be a licensed esthetician or cosmologist .
  • At least 3 years of experience with eyelash extensions (book showcasing your work is a plus).
  • 2 years experience with brow design.
  • Experience with body waxing (experience with Brazilian waxing a plus).
  • Excellent customer service experience is a MUST. (This is crucial, we pride ourselves in giving the best customer service possible, and people love us because of it so we are looking for someone who understands the importance of treating our customers the best way possible).
  •  Must be proficient in facial waxing, as well as body waxing.
  • Must have the ability to demonstrate confidence, flexibility and be a team player.
  • Must possess excellent communications skills with the ability to interact with people at all levels and provide excellent customer service, have knowledge of professional spa services and treatments, and have strong retail experience.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Primary responsibility is to provide professional consultations, skin care treatments, eyelash extensions, and waxing using the standards established by the company.
  • To recommend a maintenance program and products to be used at home, to give clients instructions on how to use the products to help them obtain and maintain healthy, beautiful skin.
